Earnings to Watch: Week of October 20 – October 24, 2025
Big week ahead, with all major sectors covered
This week is loaded with cross-sector catalysts, from industrial giants and defense contractors to tech leaders, banks, and consumer staples.
The tone of earnings season shifts here: early reports have leaned resilient, but now we move into the core cycle where results from TSLA 0.00%↑, NFLX 0.00%↑, GE 0.00%↑, RTX 0.00%↑, HON 0.00%↑, and PG 0.00%↑ will set the tone for Q4 market positioning.
Industrials ( GE 0.00%↑ HON 0.00%↑ UNP 0.00%↑ LMT 0.00%↑ RTX 0.00%↑): The sector’s margins and backlogs are under pressure from supply normalization and slower defense order flow. Investors will be watching new order growth and free cash flow conversion more than EPS beats.
Tech and Semis ( TSLA 0.00%↑ LRCX 0.00%↑ INTC 0.00%↑ SAP 0.00%↑ IBM 0.00%↑): AI and chip capex sentiment dominate. Expect volatility, particularly around Tesla’s margins, Intel’s roadmap commentary, and Lam’s wafer fab guidance.
Financials and Credit ( COF 0.00%↑ BX 0.00%↑ NTRS 0.00%↑ WTFC 0.00%↑): Credit quality remains front and center. Analysts are cautious on provisions and NIM compression, but fee income recovery could surprise.
Healthcare and Pharma ( HCA 0.00%↑ SMMT 0.00%↑ BSX 0.00%↑ ELV 0.00%↑ SNY 0.00%↑): Volume normalization post-COVID is mostly priced in; the market will key in on guidance for 2026 margins and R&D efficiency.
Consumer and Staples ( PG 0.00%↑ KO 0.00%↑ PM 0.00%↑ TSCO 0.00%↑): Input costs are stabilizing, but organic volume trends matter more than FX tailwinds this quarter.
Energy and Commodities ( FCX 0.00%↑ VLO 0.00%↑ BKR 0.00%↑): With oil off recent highs, attention shifts to operating efficiency and capex discipline rather than price leverage.
By Friday, we’ll have data points from every corner of the economy — giving investors a read on whether Q4’s rally has real fundamental backing or just positioning momentum.

This week’s reports form the inflection point for the earnings season narrative.
If industrials confirm demand resilience and tech margins hold, it reinforces the soft-landing trade. But if we see cracks in guidance, particularly from TSLA 0.00%↑, HON 0.00%↑, or PG 0.00%↑, it reopens the question of whether Q4 optimism has run too far.
By the end of the week, we’ll know whether the market is being driven by earnings strength, or just hope.

This article is perfectly timed. Your analysis is spot on, truely insightful.
Thanks for this comprehensive earnings calendar! I'm particularly watching TSCO on Thursday morning alongside the broader consumer staples picture. Tractor Supply will be an interesting test case for whether consumer resilience in rural/suburban markets is holding up differently than urban areas. Given their product mix spanning farm equipment, pet supplies, and seasonal goods, their comps and gross margin trajectory should give good insight into discretionary spending patterns among thier core demographic. Also curious if they'll provide any commentary on the potential weather impact (as they often do) and how much of Q3's performance was driven by new store openings versus same-store sales growth. Should be a key read-through for the broader specialty retail space.
